Train is very affordable source of transport as compared to airplane especially for lower middle class community.There was a time in Karachi when most of the people prefer train over airplanes.But for the few years situation is changed.As,the condition of Karachi railway is getting worse.
Ther are many problems in Karachi railway.One of the major problem is that the train usually arrives late according to the schedule,which makes people suffer a lot and they have to wait very long at the station.Passengers coming from other cities to Karachi also face inconvenience.The tickets prices are very high as compared to the facilities provided.The railway officials also not provide right information about the arrival or departure of trains.The number of trains are not sufficient as compared to the passengers.
All in all i can say that the situation of Karachi is worst as compared to other developed countries.I think that by increasing the number of trains and removing the corrupt railway officials,these problems may be minimized.
