PAKISTAN RAILWAY

It was not very long ago when Pakistan Railways was one of the three best railway systems in Asia. Other developing countries used to look up to Pakistan Railways and set it as a model to frame their own infrastructure. Consisting of 8,952 km long track, the railway tracks is really a diverse one reaching most parts of the country and enabling not only the human conveyance but also carrying out trading and commerce activities effectively. Pakistan Railways supports a caravan of 1,904 bogies with a standard target of running 220 trains on the basis. The number of workers serving one of the most important departments of the state amounts up to 78,750. According to a careful estimate, 80 million people make use of Pakistan Railways per year. In the federal budget, Rs. 13.63 billion have been allocated for Pakistan Railways. The number of locomotives that Pakistan Railway claims to own its 502. The statistics seem to be quite unsatisfactory on the first sight because the number of trains, locomotives, workers associated and the length of the track seems to be quite insufficient as far as the population of the country is concerned. When compared to the immediate neighbors, India, where the number of passenger trains is 38,199 supporting 207, 719 wagons, we find ourselves to be lagging behind by a huge margin. But, the conditions are far graver than this. Given below is a horrifying summary of facts that characterizes the dissolution of the services rendered by Pakistan Railways deep down the stomach of the termite of social evils and mismanagement.
main points:
1-Pakistan Railways back to the top  is not an impossible task. But, honesty, passion and patriotism will be the prerequisites for the initiation of rehabilitation of Pakistan Railways.
2-The significance of a good train system is critical to the economy of the country which is based on a good affordable and an    efficient railways infrastructure, including new engines, bogies, tracks and bridges.
3-This extra money can be put to good use to better pay all its railway employees and, secondly, to upgrade all its systems.
